Broadmaw is an epic void affinity champion from the Lizard Men faction in Raid Shadow Legends. His A3 is strong with the ability to revive 2 allies with 25% hit points, followed by a block damage buff being placed on these revived champions for 1 turn, allowing them the time to heal back up ready to re-join the fight. Broadmaw Late Game Build Guide
Broadmaw is one of the 3 permanent fusions in the game and is the only void one available. You can also buy fragments of the void rares for the fusion on the Bazaar if you don’t have them from opening voids.
He is a champion that can be acquired relatively easily and early in the game and can be useful in may areas of the game including Faction Wars and Doom Tower secret rooms.
Skills
Broadmaw’s abilities are quite interesting in general, even more so after the April 2021 rebalance, but without a doubt the most useful is Resurrection since, as its name suggests it allows you to revive 2 fallen allies. Despite the random selection of the champions to revive, broadmaw is the best reviver of the Lizardmen faction since the others currently include Haruspex that only revives one and Basilisk that revives itself. Reviving champions with a Block Damage buff makes him nearly essential for completing the faction with 3 stars. Apart from this, his kit is supplemented with a freeze in his default attack (very useful to keep waves of enemies under control) and a 15 Increase Crit Rate, 15% Increase Speed and 15% TM boost to put in his Gift ability.
Broadmaw can work without books. However, booking the cooldown skills makes the runs more reliable and booking A1 makes for a decent supplement in CC if you can also achieve sufficient Accuracy.
Masteries
Masteries are not of vital importance for him to fulfill his role in the team. Can work perfectly without any of them. However, Warmaster can help to take down the boss for additional DPS. Alternatively as most revivers in the game you can opt in for Timely Invervention as the final T6 mastery. Otherwise, having a mix of defensive masteries can help survive longer and keep the teammates alive.
Gear & Stats Build
When building Broadmaw keep in mind that the most important thing is to rotate through the abilities as fast as possible so he can resurrect several times if necessary.
This means that the most important stat is Speed and it should be a priority. At least 200+ is recommended for PVE content. Afterwards it is important to have ACC if that extra CC is needed for the freeze on the A1, with 250 being the recommended maximum. The rest is to be allocated into as much Defense and Hp as possible.
In terms of sets any set can make do. If you can reach the stats above with a combination of Regen or Immortal sets that can regenerate HP they would be best in slot. Otherwise Broadmaw can make do with any sets.
Recommended Main Stats:
- Gloves: DEF%/HP%
- Chest: DEF%/HP%
- Boots: Speed
- Ring: DEF/HP
- Amulet: DEF/HP with ACC substat
- Banner: ACC/DEF/HP with speed substat
Faction Wars
Below is an affordable team with 3 epic champions at 50 and rhazin being the only one with books and masteries defeating the lizardmens Faction Crypt 21.
Rhazin is the MVP of this team, and he will be in charge of cleaning the waves and dealing with the DPS on the boss practically by himself. On the boss stage it is important not to place debuffs when he is going to use his A2 since it removes them. In the same ability the boss places True Fear on a random champion and stuns the rest.
You can synchronize Quargan so that he uses Attunement just before this happens and puts Increase Defense and Block Debuffs on all your champions. For this they have to have more Defense than Attack, but it will be easy because the team is built with survival in mind and the damage will be dealt by Rhazin who is a Defense-based champion.
With Aox and Jareg placing Decrease Attack after the boss cleanses itself we will use the rest of the defensive skills to extend the fight as long as possible without Broadmaw having to revive. Wait for your two champions to die before reviving. Rhazin must have lifesteal and Retribution to increase the chances of success.
Overall this can easily be a reliable team on auto if you level up and gear your champions more.
Dungeon Runs
Dragon 20
This team composition showscases a run in Dragon’s Lair 20 on a budget with Broadmaw as the reviver:
- Hellmut is in charge of keeping the waves under control with the stun.
- Tayrel contributes with AOE Decrease DEF.
- Royal Guard with his MAX HP ability “Takedown” is in charge of killing the waves fast.
- Frozen Banshee and her poisons are most effective at the boss stage.
- Broadmaw is a safety net in case someone dies and provides an extra control with the Freeze on A1.
Fire Knight 20
For Fire Knight 20 the idea of this team is to bring in some champions who have multiple hit and turn control abilities like Coldheart, Rhazin and Alure while Stag Knight provides AOE Decrease DEF and Dec ATK.
Broadmaw is of vital importance since, as can be seen in the video, some champions like Alure or Coldheart, as they have little survivability, can die and he revives them again so the run can continue without problems.
Ice Golem 20
This team below showcases a budget run on the Ice Golem’s Peak 20:
- Here we seek control and revive with Scyl and Broadmaw.
- Tayrel and Royal Guard deal with the waves.
- Frozen Banshee is able to lower the life of the Golem with poison without activating the counterattack from the boss and revive of the adds.
