The Rune Scimitar is the strongest free-to-play melee weapon and the best scimitar in F2P. It is largely considered the best due to its fast attack speed, but it is also relatively accurate for a free to play weapon. The weapon requires a minimum of level 40 attack to use.
How to get the Rune Scimitar?
The Rune Scimitar can be created with 2 runite bars at any anvil, if the player has at least level 90 smithing. Alternatively, monsters such as Zamorak Warriors and Fire Giants frequently drop this weapon.

The Rune 2h sword is the best two-handed F2P weapon in OSRS. It also requires a minimum of level 40 attack and provides the highest strength bonus and slash bonus of any item in F2P. However, its slow attack speed makes it slightly worse than the scimitar.
The Rune 2h is commonly used in free-to-play PVP as a “KO” weapon to finish players off by dealing a high hitting blow.

The Hill Giant Club is the best in slot crush weapon for free to play players. It shares very similar stats to the rune 2h sword, but its bonuses go to crush unlike the 2h which goes to mainly slash bonuses. This weapon also requires 40 attack to use.
How to get the Giants Club?
The Giants Obor is dropped exclusively from Obor, the free-to-play Hill Giant boss. Players will need to kill Hill Giants to obtain Giant Keys which are used to fight Obor.

The Rune Longsword is the best longsword in F2P worlds. It has stronger strength bonus and attack than the Rune Scimitar. However, due to its slower speed it is worse overall than the scimitar. The Longsword also requires 40 attack to equip.
