Gurgoh the Augur is a legendary void affinity champion from the ogryn tribes faction in Raid Shadow Legends. He is generally regarded as a strong control champion. Thanks to his impressive A2 which has the ability to remove all buffs from enemy opponents and place a freeze debuff on them instead. Freeze being a super powerful debuff in raid, makes him a great addition to a variety of different teams. He particularly excels in areas such as Faction Wars and Spider, which will be included in this guide, along with information on Dragon and Arena.

Gurgoh the Augur Mid Game Build Guide
Gurgoh the Augur is a Void Legendary Champion from the Ogryn Tribes. He has a rare ability to AOE Freeze and is a great progression champion thanks to his Crowd Control (CC) ability. He also deals remarkable damage with his A3 to frozen targets due to its extremely high multiplier if he’s built for damage. Additionally, his AOE Freeze removes 2 buffs from all enemies which is very useful for certain content such as Arena and Hard Doom Tower Waves.
Booking his A2 is necessary to increase the Freeze chance to 100% and lower the cooldown. Booking his A1 and A3 is optional since it only increases the damage and reduces the cooldown. If you plan to use him for pure CC, then the damage increase is not very relevant. This is a mid to late-game guide that will showcase Gurgoh in Dragon 20, Spider 20, Arena and FW.
Masteries
You can build his Masteries out in a few different ways depending on your focus and current progression in the game. T6 Warmaster is amazing for dungeons and Doom Tower, as he usually can’t freeze bosses. This allows him to still be relevant by having high damage against the bosses. T6 Eagle Eye is better for Arena if you are purely focused on using him in Arena where enemy resistance matters greatly. However, the build shown in this guide is an all-purpose Gurgoh used for both Dungeon and Arena so the Crit Rate, Crit Damage, and standard damage dealing masteries on the left are chosen down to T6 Warmaster. In the Support tree, we take the Accuracy increasing masteries into Lore of Steel and Spirit Haste since the other T5 masteries are irrelevant.
Gear & Stats Build
Gurgoh gear and stats will depend on how you use him. As a debuffer/CC champion, the most important stats for Gurgoh are Speed and Accuracy. You want him to be fast and speed-tuned with your Speed Booster to go right after without being cut in on to immediately Freeze and Buff Strip the enemies. Therefore, in terms of gear sets, Perception, Speed, and Accuracy are great on him.
Otherwise, any broken pieces will work as long as you meet the needed stats. Good stats to aim for are somewhere around 230 speed and 400 accuracy for Gold 4 Arena (only 230 Accuracy is needed for Dungeons, so if you don’t use him Arena, you can cut down on the Accuracy) but if you solely use him in Arena, it is recommend going as high as you can with Accuracy. Once you hit the stats, you can build some damage into him with Crit Rate, Crit Damage, and Attack.
Recommended Main Stats
- Gloves: Crit Rate%/Def%/HP%
- Chest: Accuracy/Atk%/Def%/HP%
- Boots: Speed
- Ring: Def%/HP%/Atk%
- Amulet: C.Dmg/Def/HP with Accuracy substats
- Banner: Accuracy with Speed substats
Dungeon Run Teams & Strategies
Dragon 20
Gurgoh in Dungeons is mostly there to CC the enemies and do some single target damage to individual units while your nukers destroy the enemy teams or the waves leading up to the boss. The downside of using Gurgoh to CC the enemies with Freeze is it reduces the damage the enemies by 25% but it makes your team extremely safe from dying. An additional advantage is void affinity of Gurgoh allowing him to be versatile on waves of any affinity.
This is an example of a Dragon 20 run with Scyl of the Drakes, Mashalled, Stag Knight, Ninja, and Gurgoh. Ninja and Ma’Shallad can just take turns doing large AoE Hits on the waves, Stag provides Debuffs to lower the enemy Attack and Defense. While Scyl keeps the team healed off with her passive and secondary damage and CC from her A2.
Spider 20
In the Spider Dungeon, Gurgoh can be used as a reliable AOE CC champion. He keeps the spiderlings locked down and lets the rest of the team free to do damage to the boss and kill it as swiftly as possible. This is an example of a speed Spider 20 team with 3 Coldhearts, Stag Knight, Prince Kymar and Gurgoh. Gurgoh freezes the Spiderlings allowing to each Coldheart to get a second turn and use a second Heartseeker after Kymar Resets.
Note that AOE freezy is especially welcome if you are combining Gurgoh with any AOE HP burn tactics as you want the spiderlings to survive nukes under freeze to deal constant damage from the burns, especially on the higher levels of spider.
Arena Guidance
Gurgoh can shine in Arena especially in the current meta. He should be speedtuned to go right after your your speed lead so that he doesn’t get cut in after your Speed Lead goes and boosts your team. His AOE Freeze also removes 2 buffs (which are usually Shield and Block Debuff buffs). Your other 2 champions to follow up can then be built slow and don’t need to be speed tuned. This allows the enemy champions to take a turn and burn through their Reaction Accessories. The next champion to go should be an AoE Defense down champion followed by your Nuker.
One example could be a standard arena speed team consisting of Gurgoh, Stag Knight, Ma’shalled and Arbiter. Gurgoh was useful here as both our debuffer and nuker (Stag Knight and Mashalled) were Spirit and the enemy team had mostly Magic Champions. Their weak hits were not able to kill them in one shot so, the Freeze allowed our champions to take multiplier turns while the enemies were almost entirely CC-ed throughout the fight.
