Raid Shadow Legends: Maneater Champion Guide

Maneater is an Epic Champion from the Ogryn Tribes, he has a Void Affinity. Many in Raid Shadow Legends view Maneater as one of the best champions for clan boss. He’s also a great champion to use in dungeons such as Spider, Dragon and Ice Golem. In terms of his skills, his A3 ability offers an unkillable buff to the whole team for 2 turns, with a block debuff placed along with it. This is great for clan boss as it makes the teams affinity neutral without worrying about any decreased SPD from the spirit clan boss. In this guide we will cover the main stats and skills from Man Eater, followed by an indepth look at late game progression with maneater. We will discuss mastery selection, optimal builds and how it applies to spider and clan boss.

Late Game+ Maneater Clan Boss

Maneater (ME) is one of the most versatile and well received epic champions in the game. This is one of the few epics you want to have multiples of and he can be useful at every stage of the game. This guide focuses on Clan Boss and the currently known Unkillable combinations with Maneater.

Masteries

Mastery wise, ME is not a key damage or healing champion. Therefore [Warmaster] for clan boss is the correct build, along with [Retribution] for general extra attacks with chance to debuff [Attack Down]. There are a few masteries you want to avoid when using Maneater or any unkillable compositions.

Do not use Cycle of Magic mastery on Maneater or any turn meter increase or reduction masteries. Doing so would break the sequence of Unkillable turn order and mess things up for you. Furthermore, masteries such as lore of steel are dangerous because they make the diplayed speed different from actual speed. Use the speed calculators or copy the exact masteries and equipment setups for best results

Gear & Stats Build

Maneater finds itself as a support champion in FW, arena and the clan boss (CB). As the CB usually requires speed tuning, the CB team needs dictate the gear. For example, the famous Batman setup requires 2 MEs to be at 265-282 speed and 239+ speed. Both MEs can find themselves extremely useful in FW and arena at these speeds too.

Gear wise, speed matching to the rest of team is the most important consideration. I recommend going for 3 sets of speed to meet the reasonably above average late game challenge of a support champion at around 240-70 speed. This will be very suitable for many CB setups as well as Gold 4 arena tank teams.

Despite the attack-based Maneater not being the highest damage dealing champion, improving its stats in attack, critical chance, and damage is still important in the long term. In the Batman-Eater, the MEs, maintaining near 100% chance crit and 2700 attack can do 8-10m damage on UNM. Ideally the attack and critical damage should be higher. Using the banner:

  1. Arena and FW – recommended to increase his accuracy to steal turn meter
  2. Clan boss – recommended to increase his attack if running an unkillable composition (no need for attack down).

Maneater Late Game Spider Guide

Maneater is one of the most wanted epic champions in the game for UNM and NM Clan Boss. However, he is capable of helping out in many other areas of the game, including Spider 19 and 20 Dungeons. This Midgame guide focuses on how exactly he can be of help. Maneater is worth booking at this stage.

Masteries

In terms of masteries he’s not too picky. Accuracy masteries from the support tree will allow you to focus more on the other stats. The offense tree is a classic dungeon/clan boss tree, with warmaster as t6 to provide a bit more damage, even if he will is not the primary damage dealer.

Gear & Stats Build

If you don’t plan to use maneater as your Decrease Attack for early clan boss, you don’t need any particular sets of gear. However, since he loses HP when he uses his A3, an immortal set is a good idea (to be sure that he does not need to be saved by your healer)

Recommended Stats

There are 3 stats that you need to focus on:

  1. Enough accuracy : You want to aim for 220+ accuracy so he can be usable in all dungeons 20.
  2. Speed : The more speed you have, the better. I recommend 170 as minimum, but you should aim for 200+ if you can.
  3. Crit rate : Aim for as much crit rate as you can. The more you rely on him for decrease atk, the more crit rate you need. In this build he is at 100% crit rate

Recommended Main Stats

  • Glove: Crit Rate %
  • Chest: Defense %
  • Boots: Speed
  • Ring: Defense/HP
  • Amulet: Crit Damage
  • Banner: Accuracy

In the screenshot the speed boots have been removed to have similar stats to when spider 19 and 20 were done.
