Richtoff the Bold is a legendary spirit affinity champion from the banner lords faction in Raid Shadow Legends. His A2 features a poison ability which makes him the perfect champion for end game dragon dungeon runs, with his A3 also being used to increase the crit damage of each poison placed on an enemy. He is also a strong addition to faction wars and ice golem teams. All of these areas will be covered, along with a strong, generic PVE setup for Richtoff the Bold, in this champion guide.

Richtoff End Game Build Guide
Richtoff is a Banner Lords Legendary Spirit champion. His kit focuses heavily around placing lots of poisons and his A3 focuses on a big single target hit, increasing Crit Damage with each additional poison on the target.
Skills
In terms of books you don’t need to book him as he already has built in 100% chance to place them. However, if you want to maximise his potential you can maximize his damage. He can be a decent option in most wave based content such as Doom Tower, Dungeons, Faction Wars and in a Clan Boss teams since Poisons are considered the best way to damage the bosses. Because of this he needs Accuracy to land his poisons and Warmaster for additional damage to bosses.
However, you should keep in mind that he is squishy and if you’re building him as a glass cannon you either need to build a team around him with Unkillable and/or save him or focus on making him tanky. This build will feature Richtoff in a budget 2 key Unkillable setting where we don’t have to worry about this.
Masteries
We take the Offense tree, but this is mainly for Warmaster as the T6 mastery, since he doesn’t hit hard for this build, a lot of the damage scaling doesn’t help a massive amount, but Warmaster is the king of offensive masteries for the Clan Boss.
We also take the Support tree primarily for the additional Accuracy, to make him easier to gear. We take Master Hexer and Cycle Of Magic to rotate his A2 as quick as possible. His job is to maintain poisons as much as possible. Lore of Steel is taken here for the Unkillable team for Clan Boss, however it is recommended that you avoid this mastery if you plan to use any sets that give you Speed (Perception, Swift Parry, Speed etc…) As it can mess up your turn order. If you do use them make sure to use the clan boss calculator to see the true speed and match it properly.
However, no other mastery on this row matters for Clan Boss, and recommend it with damage sets such as Cruel or Crit Damage.
Gear & Stats Build
This Richtoff build is tailored to the Clan Boss in an budget ME Unkillable team. Due to this, we aim for 186 to 189 Speed, 250+ Accuracy, no more than 40k Health and around 2k Defense. After these stats, we look at Offense (Attack, Crit Damage and Crit Rate) Refresh Accessories are highly recommended, even if you do book him as this will allow him to effectively keep the bosses poisons nearly maxed, if not maxed at all times.
Recommended Sets
- Savage / Cruel
- Perception / Speed
- Damage based sets (Crit Damage, Swift Parry etc…) Avoid using Relentless for this setup.
Recommended Stats
- 186-189 Speed
- 250+ Accuracy
- 2k Defense and less than 40k Health
- 100% Crit Rate
- Attack and Crit Damage (try to even them out)
Recommended Main Stats
- Gloves: Crit Rate or Crit Damage (Damage is preferred, but Rate if you can’t get 100%)
- Chest: Accuracy
- Boots: Attack% (or Speed if you struggle getting to the required Speed)
- Ring: Attack
- Amulet: Crit Damage
- Banner: Accuracy
For accessories, prioritize Refresh accessories assuming you can hit the required stats.
Clan Boss Strategy & Team
Richtoff is a fantastic champion in a lot of places in the game, and he is often overlooked or considered a vault guardian, however this is absolutely not the case, and most people can benefit from his kit somewhere. He absolutely shines in places he can maximize his poisons on everyone, which is typically wave type content.
His biggest downfall with a build like this is honestly that he puts up too many poisons for Clan Boss, because of this you can often overflow debuffs which can result in an overall damage loss (depending on the team). The featured team uses the following:
- Maneater / Painkeeper – these two champions rotate the Unkillable Buff to ensure no one dies until turn 50.
- Maneater also provides Block Debuffs against CB.
- Aothar – He is our stun target, as well as Poisoner which adds some damage. He can strip the Increase Attack from the clan boss which isn’t huge for unkillable compositions.
- Fayne – Primarily here for Decrease Defense and Weaken, a much better alternative would be Draco or Belanor, but she can hit for a decent dps overall.
- Richtoff – Provides Poisons to fill the bosses Debuff bar, and his A3 can hit decently hard with plenty of poisons.
The showcased team illustrates somes issues such as Aothar weak hitting due to the Clan Boss being Spirit Affinity, it fell just short of 2 key Ultra-Nightmare. This shows how much damage Richtoff can do, with damage on par with Fayne, who is considered one of the best budget Clan Boss champions. Depending on affinity a raw damage dealer like Rhazin may be better comparatively when bringing Decrease Defense and Weaken.
Dungeon Runs
Dragon 25
Compared to the Unkillable Clan Boss team you can prioritise Speed over Damage stats. There is no need for the Crit Damage, Attack or Crit rate for this build, and instead about 250 speed is more preferable. Richtoff outputs so much damage that for Dragon 25, he almost needs no support, in fact he can solo Dragon 25 with insanely good Regeneration gear, but this slide will show him in a support dps role instead. Because of this, we are using Scyl and Achak to 3 man the boss.
The team composition and roles are as follows:
- Richtoff – He is our damage dealer, his poisons wipe the waves qutie fast, and the damage output is high on the boss.
- Achak – Crowd Control on the waves. There are many champions that could fill this role, e.g. Bellower in a Stun Set.
- Scyl – Healing and revive in case Richtoff goes down. Arbiter and other revivers are an alternative.
The other 2 spots you can replace with anyone who can protect Richtoff, as he will do all the damage you need. Decrease attack for the Dragon can be handy. Also some more AoE Decrease Defense and damage wouldn’t hurt for the waves clear to speed up. Strong Crowd Control like Umbral Enchantress or Maulie Tankard can be good options.
Ice Golem 24
For Ice Golem there a couple of things to note, although no gear or masteries change. The first is the showcase at level 24 primarily because Richtoff is negative affinity for 25 which can result in frequent weak hits.
Richtoff may not be the fastest clearer like Seer, but he has several advantages. The first is, he doesn’t need any damage stats, so we can build him tankier, and Ice Golem hits extremely hard if you are not prepared. The second advantage is because all his damage comes in Poison ticks, the boss will very often skip hitting his percentage thresholds to revive his minions, this acts as both a pseudo block revive, but also means he won’t do the big slam that hits very hard.
The featured team is:
- Umbral Enchantress – Wave CC control. you can use any champion you like to fill this role, you could probably even skip it if you wanted.
- Vrask – Keeps everyone at full health during the boss fight with healing.
- Scyl – Healing, a bit of crowd control like Umbral, and a revive just in case.
- Madame Serris – Decrease Attack on the boss, as mentioned before he can hit hard. AOE Decrease Defense does help on the waves in terms of speed but isn’t required, you could use plenty of other budget champions such as Bellower and Reliquary Tender. Coffin smasher is also a fantastic champion for Decrease Attack, and his passive can reduce incoming damage.
Faction Wars
For Faction Wars, we largely stick to the same trend of letting Richtoff be our damage dealer and trying to support him as much as possible. Because of this the team showcased is:
- Minaya – Healing. Unfortunately Banner Lords is lacking in regards to healing and revive, outside of Legendaries there isn’t a whole lot of healing apart from Commander uncommon. The best champion to fill this type of role is Ursala as she is fantastic at reducing incoming damage and has a strong revive.
- Giscard – Due to a the lack of healing, Giscard is a good champion with Provoke and a low cooldown coupled with his passive boosting his turn meter.
- Archmage Hellmut – Similar to Giscard, his A2 offers a decent amount of crowd control which is vital with low healing. His A3 is also offers a really nice suite of three buffs.
- Lord Champfort – The biggest component of his kit that is used for this team is his A2 providing a high uptime on Decrease Attack in an AoE. Oathbound is a good alternative to fill this role if you don’t have him.
- Richtoff – Once again, he’s a large portion of our teams overall damage, but he is squishy. As long as you can keep him alive and the enemies away from him, he will stack the poisons and kill any wave or boss in Faction Wars.
