Sigmund the Highshield End Game Build Guide
Sigmund the Highshield was a fusion champion from October 2021. He is a Legendary Bannerlord that is quite underrated for Late Game. With a good set of skills he is useful in lots of PVE content from Faction Wars to Doom tower and dungeons. As the main feature, however, we will focus on showcasing him in Hydra.
His kit screams Hydra from start to end. He has AOE Decrease attack and Provoke on 3 turns cooldown on his A2, great against Decay and Wrath heads. His A3 brings Shield and Strengthen on a 3 turns cooldown as well that are great to helping your team stay alive. As a plus he can remove buffs on his A1, helping remove some annoying reflect damage or stolen buffs. His Passive also decreases the duration of buffs on the attacking Hydra heads with a 40% chance.
Masteries
There are two ways to build Sigmund for Hydra in terms of masteries. The first one is to provide him with some extra DPS with Warmaster as T6. The second is to maximise his Provoke chance that is not 100% by default with Fearsome Presence as T6 mastery. Sigmund is featured with the latter build in this guide with Defense and Support trees. Increasing his Shields and Extend buffs can come in handy on Hydra. If you have a dedicated Mischief tank you can opt out of Lasting gifts and select another mastery instead.
Gear & Stats Build
Required Stats depend on the Hydra difficulty you would be facing. For NM the ideal stats are around 400 ACC, 250+ speed and as much HP as possible to maximize the Shields this champion places on the team. If you don’t have a Resist tank for Mischief Sigmund with 300 resist can serve his purpose. Speed-wise 250+ is considered decent.
Reflex, Relentless and even Provoke sets are nice to options but neither is required.
Recommended Main Stats
- Gloves: HP%
- Chest: ACC/HP%
- Boots: Speed
- Ring: HP
- Amulet: HP with ACC substat
- Banner: ACC with Speed substat
Refresh Accessories can be beneficial for Sigmund.
Hydra Team & Strategy
Sigmund can be used in many Hydra teams on all difficulties and rotations. In this team, Sigmund takes on the role of a Shielder and support with Atk Down and Provoke. The other recommended champions and their roles are as follows:
- Duchess deals with the head of Torment and brings revive. Can be replaced with Shamael or Rector on this rotation.
- Uugo for AOE Decrease Defense, Block Buffs and occasional cleanse and heal.
- Geomancers for MAX HP damage and dealing with the Poison cloud. Can be replaced with other dps like Husk or Royal Guard.
- Ma’Shalled with Increase speed, Leech and some dps. Can be replaced with Lydia for extra Turn Meter gain.
The more Reflex, Relentless and Provoke sets you have on all your champions in this team the better. It can comfortable farm Hydra Brutal
