Toragi Late Game+ Guide

Toragi the Frog is an Epic Magic affinity champion from the Shadowkin Faction that has been recently added to the game. Toragi has a unique skill kit that allows him to synergize and enhance non-unkillable CB teams. He offers Ally Protection with a Shield based on his Max HP to all allies on a 3-turn cooldown. Can place 50% Decrease Attack on his A1 and have a passive that allows him to place 5% Poison on the CB when attacked allowing him to deal significant damage to the Clan Boss.

Booking Toragi’s A1 for increased debuff chance and A3 to lower their skill cooldowns to three turns is necessary. His A2 is irrelevant and if you’re lucky to max out his A1 and A3 first, you can save your books and skip maxing his A2 if you’re only using him for Clan Boss. However, when the Shadowkin Faction is released, Toragi will be a very useful champ there and his A2 will be relevant to book there.

This guide will showcase Toragi in two different Clan Boss builds: (1) a Slowtuned long lasting team and (2) Budget style CB comp with only one Fusion Legendary champion.

Toragi Slowtuned Comp

Masteries

The first team in this guide will be the slowtuned long lasting CB team. In this team, we will select the Offense and Defense Masteries on Toragi. We will take the standard CB Masteries in the Offense and Defense tree. In the Offense tree, take Crit Rate, Crit Damage, all the CB damage increasing masteries on the left and into the T6 Warmaster mastery.

In the Defense Tree, take the Damage mitigation mastery in Tough Skin, Blastproof, Rejuvenation, and Delayed Death to increase survivability into the T5 counterattack mastery in Retribution.

Masteries - Slowtuned long lasting team Build toragi

Gear & Stats Build

Gearing Toragi will be a little different than most other CB champions. This first build will be for the slowtuned long lasting CB team. In this style of team, he will have to be built defensively with high Defense and HP. In a team that is able to provide Increase Defense when he takes hits, having around 2.8k Defense is recommended. However, without Increase Defense 4.5k Defense is advised instead.

Toragi is a champion that provides Ally Protection, so building high HP is very important on him. Additionally, the Shields he provides are based on his Max HP so a higher HP means a bigger shield for the team. Build up his HP as high as possible, a minimum of 70k+ HP for Late Game teams is recommended.

Then, focus on his accuracy to a minimum of 225 for UNM to land his Poisons and Decrease Attack Debuff. Build him with enough speed to match your team’s speed tune. Forget about his Crit rate/damage as the raw damage he deals is quite negligible. His role is to protect your team and building his survivability is the most important thing.

The best sets to have on him are Stalwart or Guardian. If you are unable to gear him in those sets, any stat boosting sets like Immortal, Perception, Resilience sets will make do, but eventually you want to gear him his best in slot sets.

Team Composition

This is an example of a slowtuned CB team with Toragi and their speeds:

This is a 1:1 style team that is built to survive long into the CB fight. This team combination has the following synergies between each champion to survive long into the CB fight:

  1. Double Ally Protection from Tyrant Ixlimor and Toragi the Frog.
  2. Shields from Toragi and Brogni for an added layer for protection.
  3. Brogni Enhancemes the shields from Toragi.
  4. Riho Bonespear and Brogni provides healing to the team as well and block debuffs to block the affinity debuff and stun.
  5. Riho applies Dec Def and Dec Attack and Toragi as a back up Dec Attack and some poisons.

Shields are a very important aspect in Brogni based teams as Brogni reflect damage done to the Shield and Toragi offers a shield for Brogni to enhance. Geomancer benefits on teams that lasts a very long as it allows him to rack up tons of damage every time the CB takes a turn.

This team is capable of surviving past turn 120 while doing 120+m damage on Spirit affinity. It works on other affinity as well but will not survive as long and do as much damage but is still capable of 1 keying on Magic, and at least 2 keying on Force. This team also works on NM.

Team Compositions

This is an example of a Budget UNM CB team with only one fusion legendary Rhazin, and 4 Epics. This team is based around having Double Ally Protection for survival throughout the fight for survivability. The champions used in this comp are:

  1. Sepulcher Sentinel (226) – Atk Down, Inc Def, Block Debuff.
  2. Skullcrusher (171) Ally Protection, Counterattack.
  3. Rhazin (175) Dec Def, Weaken, DPS.
  4. Godseeker Aniri (193) Buff Extension, DPS.
  5. Toragi the Frog (174) Ally Protection, Shield, Poison

This team is tuned so Sepulcher’s Block Debuff blocks the Affinity Debuff and Stun which makes this team work on all affinities. We have Double Ally Protection from Skullcrusher and Toragi for team survivability. There are a few turns of manual set up for this team to line up their skill order correctly before going full auto.
