Whisper is an epic void affinity champion from the Knight Revenant faction in Raid Shadow Legends. She is one of the hardest hitting single target attack champions in the game. Her A2 ability places increase attack and critical rate before she attacks, which leads to devastating blows being dealt out. She is usually best geared in a relentless set, as this can maximise her for additional turns. All in all, she is a fantastic damage dealer, one of the best in the game against various bosses. She has applications for various pieces of content, including Faction Wars, Arena, Hard Doom Tower and Spider 20 runs, all of which will be covered in this champion guide.

Whisper End Game Build Guide
Whisper is one of the premier single target damage dealing champions in the Knight Revenant faction and can be used in both the crypts and in Doom Tower. Void affinity allows her to avoid any weak hits. She is a true glass cannon, both easily killed and very hard hitting. When coupled with a team of champions who can reliably place Decrease Defense, Weaken on opponents and Increase Attack and/or Increase Critical Damage on her, she can be incredibly useful at getting through higher level Dungeon content and the highest floors of Hard Doom Tower.
Her A2 has the ability to ignore the DEF of the target if it’s under the Weaken debuff that Whisper can place on the enemy with her A1. A3 can help her cycle through her skills faster. Booking her cooldown skills for End Game is a good idea.
Masteries
Whisper is best suited by masteries that help her do as much damage as possible. Standard Crit Rate and Crit Damage masteries are a good fit. For her T6 mastery the choice is debatable. If you would like all her skills to hit hard and have more than 220+ Crit Damage Helmsmasher is a good choice for most content. If you only use her for the A2 ability that ignores DEF or have lower Crit Damage Flawless Execution would be the better option. Warmaster is not recommended as it’s only good for bosses and Whisper is too fragile on most hard Doom Tower floors to be used there.
Accordingly the Defense Tree leading to Retribution is useful because Whisper is prone to taking big hits, and Blood Shield and Blood Thirst are useful to help the survivability of a fragile champion during the battles.
Gear & Stats Build
Whisper is best suited with gear that provide decent Attack, Crit Rate, Crit Damage and enough Speed to enable her to hit hard and often, although she is probably still going to be the slowest champion in your team. While you could build her with high Accuracy, she is more effective when there is a set up by other debuffers, especially Decrease Defense/Weaken champions such as Venus, Lydia the Deathsiren, Dracomorph or even Fayne.
Whisper’s passive effect gives her a 10% chance of an extra turn should she achieve a critical hit, and while her A2 gives her a 2 turn Increase Crit Rate buff, it’s more sensible to give her 100% Crit Rate off the bat since you want every possible chance of that extra turn. Aiming for 100% Crit Rate, 220%+ Crit Damage and 200+ speed is best.
Stats are better than sets, and while Whisper can receive extra benefit from the Relentless set, Cruel set, Savage set, Fatal set and Speed set for example, but they are not required for her to work. If you’re using her in the Arena, a Swift Parry set might give an opponent a nasty surprise.
Recommended Main Stats
- Glove: Crit Damage
- Chest: ATK %
- Boots: Speed
- Ring: ATK
- Amulet: Crit Damage
- Banner: ATK/HP/Accuracy
The banner choice depends on wherever you need the Weaken debuff from her or have the full setup from other champions, e.g. Accuracy banner may be required on Faction War crypt 21 for optimal results
Hard Doom Tower Team Strategy
Whisper can be a bit tricky to use and is often better when used manually – as you may have to, if you’re not blessed with certain vital champions in your roster. If she is set to go last on your team, she leads with her A3. If her target has Decrease Defense and Weaken, she will immediately go to her A2, that ignores Defence and hits very hard. Both of these, if they are critical hits, have a chance of giving her an extra turn. If you can keep the debuffs up, Whisper will cycle through her abilities quickly, even if she doesn’t get her extra turns and can very easily take out wave opponents – this is especially vital in those tricky higher floors of the Doom Tower where it’s vital to take out the Siphis, Gurgohs, and Mountain Kings to have chance of winning.
If you were not lucky to pull a Seer you can still pass the most difficult waves in hard Doom Tower with Whisper. An example team composition and roles would be as follows:
- Psylar decreases the Turn Meter of all enemies and places Decrease Speed on them to allow slower champions to take their turns.
- Lydia applies AOE Decrease DEF and Weaken on the enemies and some useful buffs on the allies.
- Visix controls the enemies with her AOE Provoke ability.
- Ursala casts ATK UP.
- Whisper takes out Siphis and other champions with her abilities.
Faction Wars Runs
In Faction Wars, Whisper struggles because of the absence of multiple AoE Decrease Defense champions in the Knights Revenant faction. She needs around 220+ Accuracy to land her Weaken debuff, since so few of the Knights Revenant can place Decrease Defense and Weaken. If you don’t have Tomb Lord, you might find that she is best supported by such counterintuitive choices as Crypt Witch or Necrohunter.
However, the featured team beat level 21 of the Knights Revenant crypt, without having Tomb Lord, Sinesha, Skullcrown or Rector Drath, all of whom are typical choices for 3 starring the crypt. The champions in the feature team and their roles are as follows:
- Miscreated Monster is in a Stun set that increases the chance of stunning opponents with his A1 or A2 and provides Decrease Defense.
- Wurlim Frostking brings a small amount of crowd control and some protection via the buffs..
- Narma the Returned throws out a large amounts of poisons and her substantial AoE heals coupled with a Decrease Attack debuff are in fact more important here.
- Doompriest provide healing, debuff removal and ATK Up buff.
Without many of the usual epics or legendaries, this is is not a fast team, it needs to be run manually, and depends on RNG. Whisper is key, as the other champions control the waves while she does the job of killing them, and then comfortably drops the boss within the 12 turn deadline following the health swap. Building Whisper with more HP than the team tank (Wurlim) drastically increases her survivability.
Dragon 20 Team
In this Dragon 20 team, Whisper is set up with Venus bringing AoE Decrease Defense and Weaken, and Ursala the Mourner increasing Attack. With the mobs already softened up by her companions, Whisper is able to one-shot the wave champions with her hard hitting A3, and then take an extra turn with her A2 to kill a second.
This gives two chances for her passive to proc and if it does, meaning she can nearly take out a third opponent. Due to the Cycle of Violence Mastery, Whisper often gets to use the A3 to A2 in successive turns. By the time the team gets to the Dragon, Whisper’s damage bonus against bosses kicks in.
Coldheart and Husk in this team do almost comparable damage to Whisper, but their numbers are skewed by one or two Enemy Max HP hits against the Dragon, which is the reason for using them there. Whisper, meanwhile, lays out consistently large hits against every opponent, even if it’s single target.
Arena Tactics
In the arena, Whisper is a solid choice for a directed single target hitter. While she may not be the fastest farmer her ability to ignore DEF with her A2 and Helmsmasher mastery allows her to be dps if you have no better alternatives. This is not generally recommended if you have the usual meta champions and the ceiling for Whisper compositions is Gold IV.
Team composition is crucial and she works best paired with champions who can decrease Defense and Weaken opponents, allowing her to take multiple turns and take out two or even – if her passive kicks in – three opponents on her turn. The team featured in the guide is a Speed comp:
- Lyssandra lead for TM boost and control
- Lydia for both DEF Down and Weaken as well as defensive buffs and block ressurection
- Serris for removing the nasty buffs from opponents Whisper as the DPS
