Avir the Alchemage is a rare magic affinity champion from the dwarves faction in Raid Shadow Legends. He features an array of useful skills, from his A1, which will poison enemies, his A2 places an AOE decrease speed and attack, while his A3 offers healing and turn meter fill. Since the dwarves have a limited option when it comes to healers available to them, Avir makes a great addition to faction wars team. In this guide we will provide a strong late game build for faction wars and dungeon raids, with information on masteries, gear and stats.

Avir the Alchemage Late Game Build Guide
Avir is one of the decent rares that can be helpful and viable in late game content including Faction Wars that is one of the most difficult stages to 3 star and ultimately get Lydia for the efforts. Upon his release, the Dwarf faction lacked healers as well as Turn meter/speed controllers outside of a few hard to acquire legendaries. Avir played an important role as an easily obtainable champion that provided a lot of utility. While his importance has somewhat waned with more than 8 new champions added to the faction, he remains a great option for free-to-play and mid-late game low spenders to use.
His kit has three main uses. He is a great debuffer with access to Poisons on A1 allowing him to be a good dps on the bosses. His A2 provides an AOE small Decrease ATK debuff and his A3 grants AOE TM increase and healing. Together this makes him a solid support even though his skills scale in damage with ATK.
Masteries
Avir’s masteries are based around helping keep other champions on your team alive using a combination of his heal and the bulwark T6 mastery. Bulwark will help absorb some of the damage other champs are receiving to keep them alive and the support tree is mostly focused on the healing and the debuff aspect of his kit.
Gear & Stats Build
One of the exciting parts about Avir is that he’s one of the few champs in the game that greatly benefits from the toxic set. The way his A2 works is that the Decrease Speed debuff is placed on targets under poison debuffs, but the toxic set places the poison before the move occurs, which allows you to get decrease speed debuffs a lot more often.
Another great aspect of Avir is that his heal is based off Avir’s MAX HP, so one of the two most important things about his build is providing a high HP pool to make the heal bigger. Having enough accuracy to land debuffs is important, and the rest of the stats should go into speed and defense.
Recommended Main Stats
- Gloves: HP%
- Chestplate: HP%
- Boots: Speed
- Ring: HP
- Amulet: HP
- Banner: HP/ACC
If you have spare refresh jewellery it can benefit Avir for more frequent healing usage.
Faction Wars Team & Strategy
This team without legendaries is capable of 3 starring the crypt 21 and get you Lydia in the end. You need to manual it carefully at the boss stage to make sure noone dies. The team composition and their roles for the battle are as follows:
- Fodbor the Bard – Debuffer – His AOE Defense Down helps the DPS champs kill the waves and the boss much quicker.
- Melga Steelgirdle – Shielder/Reviver – Her AOE shield and revive capabilities are almost a must if you hope to 3* on auto.
- Avir the Alchemage – Healer/TM – heals the allies, slows the enemies and provides DPS with poisons.
- Gala Longbraids – DPS.
- Baerdal Fellhammer – DPS.
Dragon 24 Team & Strategy
Avir can also support comfortably in the Dragon dungeon. In this budget setting for Dragon 24. The team composition and roles for this dungeon raid is as follows:
- Avir Bulwark mastery, healing and TM boost along with debuffs help on the waves, even if the progress is slow. Poisons help during the boss stage.
- Scyl provides healing, AOE stun on waves and emergecy revive.
- Frozen Banshee shines the most on the boss stage by quickly stacking Poisons.
- Stag Knight applies AOE DEF Down and ATK Down.
- Soulbond Bowyer provides DPS, Crit Rate Aura and DPS on waves.
