Goffred Brassclad is a legendary magic affinity champion from the dwarves faction in Raid Shadow Legends. He is a brilliant defense based champion in Raid, who utilises decrease defence and provoke abilities. He has a cool passive effect, where when an ally is under attack and has a block damage buff on them, he will provide a 75% chance of applying a stun debuff on the enemy who was attacking for 1 turn. Furthermore, his A1 is a single target stun, with his A2 being an AOE stun, finally the A3 can be used to place a 60% increase defense buff on his team. The A3 ability will also remove all decrease def debuffs and weaken debuffs from the team.

Goffred Brassclad Clan Boss Build Guide
Goffred Brassclad is a champion you should definitely try out. He is an excellent support that can be used in various game areas. His A1 has a good chance to apply a Decrease Def and Provoke debuffs on the enemies, his A2 attacks all enemies and places a Stun debuff with 100% chance, and his A3 places an Increase Def buff on the team. Special attention should be paid to the passive that places a Block Damage buff on ally if an enemy attack can kill them. Furthermore, whenever an ally is attacked while under Block Damage buff placed by Goffred, has a 100% chance of placing a Stun debuff on the attacker.
The champion has good potential both in PvP content due to A2 and an interesting Passive that makes him in essence a budget Nekhret, and in PvE due to A3 and his CC skills. Unfortunately using Goffred effectively both in the Arena and in PVE content is difficult due to different requirements for gear and general availability of other metagame options. Therefore, in this guide, we will consider him exclusively for PVE. We’ll start off with an Unkillable CB comp, then a classical one and round up with other content.
Goffred doesn’t need books in this variant, since they don’t increase the debuff chance of his A1, and also don’t reduce the cooldown of his Passive. At the same time, the Def up buff does not play an important role here.
In this section of the guide he’ll be used in an Unkillable composition with 4:3 rotation for UNM Clan Boss, as you do not need to worry about his survivability and can just focus on the correct Speed, Accuracy and DPS.
Masteries
For best results on CB Warmaster T6 mastery is the number one choice. Single Out from the Offense branch and other damage increasing masteries are selected. The second branch it is better to take the Support branch and the Master Hexer and Sniper masteries to extend the duration and up the chance to place Decrease Def dubuff.
As usualy for Unkillable, no TM increasing masteries can be selected in order to keep the speed tune.
Gear & Stats Build for Unkillable CB Teams
Goffred in this Unkillable team on Сlan Boss can utilise any type of sets with the exception of those that grant an extra turn and fill up the turn meter. We use a fixed speed setting and, as a result the order of moves cannot be influenced. Savage or Lethal sets are a luxury choice, but you can take any other sets like Perception, Resilience or Speed. In this case Goffred must have around 240 speed, so pick sets and items with good speed substats.
Recommended Main Stats
- Gloves – Crit Damage if you have collected more then 70% of the Сrit rate in the additional parameters, if not – take gloves with Crit rate main stat
- Chest – DEF%
- Boots – SPD
- Ring – DEF
- Amulet – Crit Damage
- Banner – ACC or DEF
If you have Revenge accessories they can use them in this particular CB composition.
Unkillable CB Team & Strategy
This unkillable is done by Helicath, with Blocks Damage buff on the first and second AOE of CB. The 3rd hit of the boss is blocked by Goffred’s passive skill. The important point is to use Goffred’s high speed. He needs time to reset the passive skill cooldown in 4 turns before the boss attacks the team with his a3. Therefore, his speed in this composition is about 240. The advantage is that he has a Decrease DEF debuff on A1, allowing a wider choice of damage dealers for the team, because the Decrease DEF and Weaken debuffs are already taken care of.
Unfortunately this case only works on UNM due to the specific speed. But if you have the meta champions and good gear it is easy to 2 key UNM Clan Boss. Here is an example of UNM team:
- Helicath with 258 speed for Block Damage buff to avoid damage from 1 and 2 AOE boss.
- Goffred with 240 speed for Block Damage buff to avoid damage from 3 hit.
- Urticata with 241 speed for Poisons.
- Mausoleum Mage with 193 speed for Block Debuff buff to avoid the Stun.
- Skullcrusher with 192 speed for Counterattack buffth.
Gear & Stats Build for Budget CounterAttack Teams
Lifesteal set is a classical PvE option to pair with Warmaster especially if we want to farm CB. Any other secondary set can be used to get the necessary stats, in this case Defense set. Perception is another popular set from the forge to meet the Accuracy requirements easily. We need to reach around 230 Accuracy and Speed tune for CB in the case of UNM 192, then focus on Defense, Health and Crit Rate. The rest of the stats are not that important. Goffred Brassclad its Defense champion so try to focus on the champion’s defense parameter than on HP.
Recommended Main Stats
- Gloves – DEF%/HP%
- Chest – DEF%/HP%
- Boots – SPD
- Ring – HP/DEF
- Amulet – HP/DEF
- Banner – ACC
If you have the Revenge accessories – you can use them in this particular CB composition.
Budget CounterAttack CB Team & Strategy
Here is an example of a budget CounterAttack team with standart 1:1 speed tune. This team can 1/2-key NM (with 171-189 speed tune) and 3/4-key UNM Clan Boss. Team composition for UNM:
- Frozen Banshee with 195 speed for Poisons.
- Geomancer with 194 speed for Weaken and HP burn debuffs.
- Tayrel with 193 speed for ATK Decrease debuff.
- Goffred with 192 speed for Increase Def buff and Decrease Def debuff.
- Skullcrusher with 191 speed for CounterAttack buff.
In this composition, we do not use Goffred’s passive skill since he has a 4-turn CD while the boss has a 3-turn skills cycle. We’re using his Increase Def buff and Decrease Def debuff that help survivability and dps greatly. All champions have Warmaster T6 masteries and Life Steal set, as well as high Def and HP.
Dungeon Run Teams with Geoffred
Dragon 24
Goffred Brassclad is a great champion for dungeons especially for the Dragon Lair. His AOE Stun debuff will be of great benefit on the waves. Provoke and Decrease Def debuff from A1, an Increase Def buff that will reduce damage to allies are great, although with a good team enemies will not be able to hit your team even once. The passive skill will save one ally from lethal damage. Here is an example of a budget composition for Dragon 24 with no revive:
- Apothecary for SPD buff and healing.
- Shatterbones for Decrease SPD debuff plus Turn Meter manipulation and dps.
- Goffred for Stun and Decrease Def debuff plus Increase Def buff
- Tayrel for AOE Decrease Def;
- Frozen Banshee to quickly kill the Dragon with Poisons.
Spider 25
Goffred is doing great in the Spider’s Den dungeon. Thanks to the AOE Stun debuff, he does not allow spiderlings to overrun you, which saves your weak Dps champions and speeds up the clearing of the dungeon due to the lack of spider attack animations. This all makes him a great champion for both level 20 and 25 dungeons. Here is an example composition for Spider’s Den 25:
- Goffred for Stun debuff.
- Renegade for allies cooldown Decrease.
- Mordecai for HP burn debuff.
- Double Coldhearts for max HP damage and TM depletion.
Ice Golem 20
The Ice Golem is the most unpredictable boss due to how hard it Counterattacks after reaching certain HP thresholds. Goffred keeps the team safe with his Stun debuff on the waves. At the boss itself the right minion places Decrease Def debuff on our team, while Goffred with his A3 removes all Decrease Def and Weaken debuffs from the team. Here is an example composition for Ice Golem 20 with no revival champion:
- Tayrel for AOE Decrease Def plus Decrease Аtk debuffs.
- Apothecary for SPD buff and healing.
- Tallia for dps.
- Goffred for Stun debuff and Increase Def buff.
- Frozen Banshee to quickly kill the Golem with Poisons.
Fire Knight 20
In the Fire Knight’s Castle Goffred’s main task will be to help team clearing the waves with the Stun debuff and some dps. On the boss itself he won’t show incredible results, but 2 hits on A1 is a nice help in lowering the boss’s shield. A passive skill will not let a weak ally die. Here is an example composition for Fire Knight 20 with no revival champions:
- Stag Knight for AOE Decrease DEF and ATK debuff.
- Apothecary for SPD buff and healing.
- Shatterbones for dps and Decrease SPD debuff.
- Goffred for AOE Stun debuff.
- Armiger to Decrease the turn meter and quickly kill the Boss with MAX HP skill.

Hydra Team & Strategy
When you look at Goffred Brassclad’s skills, the last thing you’ll think about using him against Hydra. However, the Provoke debuff on A1 helps with Head of Decay and Decrease Def can be useful. Increase Def buff is useful as well. Without any gear changing he can be useful on this boss. Together this is enough to take the last chest on Normal difficulty without issues in a budget setting with some epic champions. Here is an team example:
- Goffred for Provoke on A1 and Increase Def buff.
- Mordecai for HP burn debuff.
- Rector Drath for reviving, heal and Perfect Veil buff.
- Uugo for Decrease Def and Block Buff debuffs.
- Shatterbones for Decrese SPD debuff and dps.
- Magnarr for some dps.
Faction Wars Team & Strategy
Goffred excels in Faction Wars. AOE Stun debuff plus Decrease Def debuff, Increase Def buff for team and useful passive skill helps on the 21st floor boss that hits very hard ignoring the target’s defense. Here is an example of a team that made it through level 21:
- Goffred Brassclad for Stun debuff and Increase Def buff.
- Underpriest Brogni for Shield and Block Debuff buffs.
- Maulie Tankard for Revive and Provoke debuff.
- Geomancer for Weaken and HP burn debuffs plus dps.
- Dilgol for dps and Decrease SPD debuff.
An alternative FW 21 team without Maulie for ressurection is featured here:
- Geomancer for deplete the enemies Turn Meter and dps on Boss.
- Underpriest Brogni for Shield buff.
- Goffred for Stun, Provoke and Decrease Def debuffs plus Increase Def buff.
- Dilgol for dps.
- Rearguard Sergeant for Decrease Atk debuff and Ally Protection plus Continuous Heal buffs.
Doom Tower Team & Strategy
Goffred Brassclad performs well in Doom Tower waves thanks to his AOE Stun debuff on A2 and Provoke on A1. He cannot solo, but with a good team, he can make his way through the whole tower. This build is not really suitable for high floors of Doom Tower due to insufficient Speed and Accuracy.
Here is an example of a team that made it through level 119 Hard difficulty Dark Fae rotation:
- Morrigaine for TM manipulation, Increase Spd buff and Fear debuff.
- Goffred for Stun, Provoke and Decrease Def debuffs plus Increase Def buff.
- Helicath for dps and Block Damage plus Shied buffs.
- Shamrock AOE Decrease Spd debuff and Increase Spd buff.
- Archbishop Pinthroy for Increase Acc buff, healing and Block Buff debuff.
Goffred Brassclad End Game Arena Build Guide
Goffred Brassclad is a great champion for PvP. In the arena, he can perform two different roles. First role is based on his A2 that place a Stun debuff with a 100% chance, making him a good choice for speed teams to control opponents. In this case, it is worth focusing on his Accuracy and Speed.
The second and more promising role is to protect his team from enemy damage dealers. In this case we are mainly interested only in his passive skill that blocks incoming damage and places a Block Damage buff on an ally if he is about to get killed by a fatal hit. In this guide we focus on this option as it makes Goffred essentially a budget Nekhret. It’s also worth noting that if you use any champions in the high end arena, you should get Blessings for them even if it’s at one star. In our case, Polymorph is amazing as it can place a Sheep debuff on enemy champions and play an important role in winning.
Masteries
The obvious choice in this case would be Fearsome Presence for T6 on the Defense branch to increase the chance of applying Sheep. Resurgent to remove some critical debuffs, Retribution and Deterrence to counterattack enemies dps and place debuffs on them. The second branch can be Support. There is a choice between additional Accuracy to apply debuffs or Increasing the shield value if you use the appropriate sets. Since Shield set is used, and knowing that most of the enemy dps are under the Block Debuffs buff, the Shield increase mastery has been selected.
Gear & Stats Build
Shield type sets on Gofred are a good choice for offensive teams. Forge Pass has the currently best Shield set that cannot be stripped – Bolster. This set will help you survive the first enemy attacks and continue your assault at full strength, since the Reaction Accessories are no longer active.
Accessories are worthy of special attention. One of our potential enemies is Ramantu, the meta champion who places a Block Passive Skills debuff for 2 turns on Goffred. In order to counter this we can get a Cleansing Accessory. In addition to this, there are champions who ignore the Shield buffs such as Baron. This can also be critical, for defense you should pay attention to the Reaction Accessories. Therefore, if you can use them they should be a priority.

Recommended Main Stats
For midweek Platinum league battles, a meta combo with Venus and Cupidus will be showcased. Goffred and Mithrala will provide protection for Cupidus. You can use many other teams with Goffred.
We will have no problem defeating any speed teams, but our potential targets from defensive teams are lineups without a lot of healing, since Cupidus is wearing the Stoneskin set and does not have extremely high damage. It is also worth carefully choosing opponents from mirror teams, as well as lineups with Ukko, as he removes all buffs and place a Block Buffs debuff. This can be highly unpleasant, although in those cases we use Mithrala to cleanse with high effective Resistance. Here is an example of the team:
- Cupidus for dps.
- Venus for stripping the enemiy buffs and placing Decrease Def and Weaken debuff.
- Mithrala for Increase ATK buff and cleansing debuffs.
- Goffred protecting the team with Bolster set and passive skill, as well as Sheep application.
