Steelskull is an epic spirit affinity champion from the skinwalkers faction in Raid Shadow Legends. He is a great support type champion who can offer a lot of healing, single ally cleanses and increase defence. Steelskull is a great champion for clan boss, although with the release of the battlepass he has now been outshined by champions such as Occult Brawler and Frozen Banshee. Regardless of this we have provided an optimal clan boss setup including masteries, gear and team compositions. Steelskull also makes an impressive addition to your team in areas such as the Spider dungeon.

Steelskull Late Game Clan Boss Build Guide
Steelskull is not the smartest champion in terms of AI, but he can be tuned to work really well with the right setup. In Late game setting he’s worth booking thanks to his usefullness on Clan Boss and faction wars. In this guide we’ll be focusing on the CB aspect.
Masteries
The offense mastery tree is quite standard with Warmaster as the final t6 mastery for damage and for healing with a lifesteal set.
The secondary mastery tree can be either defense for extra survivability or support for extra healing power and Lasting Gifts. The latter is not a commonly taken mastery, but in this particular setting with another Def Up champion on the team it doesn’t result in mishaps with stuns hitting someone else. Sniper is useful for the extra chance to land poisons.
Note the lack of masteries with turn meter boosts due to an AOE counterattack setting for Clan Boss.
Gear & Stats Build
Lifesteal is a useful set for Steelskull on Clan Boss. Despite having an AOE heal and shields from Valkyrie as protection, in later rounds you will notice that Warmaster + Lifesteal is able to prolong Steelskull life considerably and increase the overall damage from the cb run.
The second set can be anything, however the speed to 4:3 tune has to be high enough. Furthermore, as with most heroes for UNM having around 4200 Defense is preferred and better crit rate and damage is also most welcome. Having around 230-250 accuracy is the usual benchmark. However, in this team composition Vizier takes off a lot of uncertainty about poisons landing.
Recommended Main Stats:
- Gantlets: Defense% / Crit Rate / Crit Damage
- Chest: Def %
- Boots: Speed
- Ring: Def
- Amulet: Def / Crit Damage
- Banner: Accuracy
Team Compositions and Tactics
Every hero here plays their role well. Sepulcher Sentinel leads with the aura and uses her A2 skill after second clan boss aoe. This allows block debuffs to stay on the whole team during the stun and deal some extra damage. This is important as Steelskull AI is unreliable in removing the stun, especially during the earlier rounds
Roles
Steelskull pulls triple duty. He is the poisoner in this composition, though without Vizier it’s usually advisable to have another secondary poisoner with him for reliability. He AOE heals the team and casts Def Up on the team increasing their survivability (and damage for Def based champions). Finally, his targeted heal becomes important around turns 30 when Sepulcher Sentinel takes too much Damage from AOE attacks.
Meanwhile, Vizier makes the debuffs stick after a few minutes of manual runs. Rhazin brings Def Down and Weaken in one package, enhancing the damage of the team. Then Valkyrie provides AOE Counterattack and brings massive shields to the table making the whole team work well.
