Abyssal Sire is one of Runescapes many slayer bosses. Others include the likes of the Kraken, Thermonuclear Smoke Devil, Cerb, Alchemical Hydra and the Gargoyle boss. To attack the boss, you must have been assigned an Abyssal Demons slayer task. Therefore, a slayer level of 85 is a requirement, and can not be boosted.

How to get to Abyssal Sire in OSRS?
The sire boss is located in the Abyssal Nexus, which can be found within the Abyss. There are four different sire spawns in each world. Located north-east, north-west, south-east and south-west of the Nexus.
To reach the Nexus, the safest way is by fairy rings. Use code D-I-P. Alternatively, you can enter by travelling to the Mage of Zamorak, north-east of Edgevil. If using this method, be careful as you will have to travel to level 4 wilderness, using the mage for a teleport to the abyss will also skull you and drain your prayer.

Sire Mechanics
The Sire fight consists of three key phases. Through-out these phases it will focus the player with a range of different attacks. From poisonous miasma pools, to tentacle attacks, minions and forced teleports. All of which will be discussed below.
First Phase
- During phase 1, the sire will be sleeping. His attacks only consist of poisonous fumes and ejecting abyssal spawns.
- To progress to the next phase. All four of the respiratory systems must be destroyed.
- Attacking them, will result in the sire’s tentacles to attack you and reduce the damage you can output greatly.
- Bypass this by using a shadow spell to disorientate the sire. Splashing will not work, the accuracy of Barrage is 100% effective, Blitz is 75%, Burst is 50% and Rush is only 25%. So, use the best available spell you have.
- When disorientated with a shadow spell the tentacles will be stunned for 30 seconds, allowing the player to attack the respiratory system optimally.
Second Phase
- Sire will awaken, leaving its resting place and begin attacking the player with melee.
- Use protect from melee to reduce damage from the sire.
- The sire can still continue to create spawns and release poisonous fumes as he did in phase 1.
- Remain in melee distance through-out. If out of melee distance, the sire can use a teleport attack.
Third Phase
- Switch to protect from missiles during the phase transition.
- Sire will walk to the middle of the room and become attackable. It will not attack the player directly.
- It will spawn four spawns and only use poisonous fumes to attack.
- Tentacles will awaken, so remain on the 3 most central tiles.
- Dodge the poisonous fumes by moving 2 tiles back and forth in a 1-2 attack format.
- If your health falls low, you can run back and blood barrage the scions pile to regain hp before continuing.
- Once the sire reaches 139 health or lower a second stage will occur.
Stage 2
- Sire will teleport the player south, it will explode two ticks after teleporting the pplayer, dealing massive damage if you do not run away from the area. You only need to be 2 tiles away at the time of the explosion.
- After the explosion between 6 and 8 scion spawns will appear under the sire. A few more will also randomly appear around the player. A maximum cap of 15 can be in the area at one specific time.
- If at any point your health is low, you can again blood barrage back to full hp on the spawns.
- Poisonous fumes will continue to spawn so finish by killing the sire with the same 1-2 attack format as the previous stage.
