OSRS Granite Mining Guide

Granite is a type of rock that can be mined in the Kharidian Desert. It provides one of the fastest mining training methods in osrs currently. The rock is unlocked at level 45 mining and is available for players to train on.

As you are in the desert be wary of the desert heat which will continually reduce your hitpoints. Avoid this by bringing waterskins in your inventory or wearing the Desert Amulet 4 if you have completed the elite desert diary. Alternatively, wearing both the hitpoints cape and a regen bracelet will allow you to out heal the damage taken from the deserts heat.

Where to mine Granite?

Granite can be mined in the Bandit Camp Quarry in the Kharidian Desert. This area is also commonly referred to as the Desert Quarry or Enakhra’s Quarry. It can be found just south of Bandit Camp, north-west of Sophanem and west of Pollniveach. Some of the best methods of transportation to the area include:

  • Camulet teleport to Enakhra’s Temple after completing Enakhra’s Lament. Exit the temple using the west exit to arrive near the granite mine. After completion of the desert hard diary you will be able to teleport to the entrance which is significantly closer.
  • Pharaoh’s Sceptre to Jaldraocht and run west to the Quarry.
  • Al-Kharid teleport with Glory Amulet and use Ferryman Sathwood’s ferry to Tempoross (Ruins of Unkah) and run north.

How to do 3-tick Granite Mining?

This method can be difficult to learn at first if you have no prior experience with tick manipulation, so do not be put off if it takes a while to get the rhythm down.

Always use the four granite rocks to the south-west of the Quarry. Start the three tick cycle by using a knife on a log or a herb and tar. Click the rock to mine it and repeat. However, you are going to want to be dropping your granite rocks between this to increase efficiency. Stopping to drop a full inventory will greatly damage your experience rates.

The order for dropping the granite is:

  1. Start 3-tick action (knife and log or herb and tar).
  2. Click the next rock.
  3. Drop the granite as you move towards the rock.
  4. Quickly click the rock again.

This requires very fast and accurate clicks to maintain without losing your cycle. Its therefore highly advised to adjust your camera angle and zoom in on resizable mode. This will reduce the distance your mouse has to move between every action and make the click boxes larger from the zoomed in visual.
