OSRS Desert Diary Guide

The Desert Diary is a set of achievement diaries in Oldschool Runescape. It consists of four tiers including easy, medium, hard and elite. At each stage players will unlock various different rewards, providing the previous tiers have also been complete.

Desert Easy Diary

Requirements

Tasks to complete

1. Catch a golden warbler.
2. Mine five pieces of clay in the north-east of the desert.
3. Enter the Kalphite Lair.
4. Wear desert robes in the Desert.
5. Kill a vulture in the Desert.
6. Have Zahur clean a herb for you in Nardah.
7. Collect 5 potato cacti from the Kalphite Lair.
8. Sell artefacts to Simon Templeton (must be artefacts from Pyramid Plunder).
9. Open the Sarcophagus in Pyramid Plunders first room.
10. Cut a cactus open to fill a waterskin.
11. Travel on the magic carpet from Shantay Pass to Pollniveach.

Rewards

Every time you complete a tier of any achievement diary you will be granted some rewards. For the easy Desert diary tier the rewards include:

• Desert amulet 1.
• 2,500 experience in any chosen skill that is above level 30.
• Pharaoh’s sceptre will now hold up to 10 charges.
• Simon Templeton will buy noted artefacts from you.
• Killing Goats will always result in their desert goat horns dropping in noted version.

Desert Medium Diary

Requirements

Tasks to complete

1. Summit the Agility Pyramid after talking to Simon Templeton.
2. Kill a Desert Lizard.
3. Catch an orange salamander.
4. Steal a Phoenix Feather from the Desert Phoenix.
5. Use the magic carpet to travel to Uzer.
6. Use the Eagle transport system to travel to the Desert.
7. Pray to the Elidinis Statuette in Nardah.
8. Mix a combat potion in the desert.
9. Use a charged Camulet to teleport to Enakhra’s Temple.
10. Visit the Genie.
11. Use a redirected teleport to house tablet to teleport directly to Pollnivneach.
12. Cut some logs from the Teak Tree in Uzer.

Rewards

Every time you complete a tier of any achievement diary you will be granted some rewards. For the Medium Desert diary tier the rewards include:

• Desert amulet 2.
• 7,500 experience in any chosen skill that is above level 40.
• The Pharaoh’s Sceptre can now hold up to 25 charges at once.

Desert Hard Diary

Requirements

Tasks to complete

1. Knock out and pickpocket a Menaphite Thug with blackjacking.
2. Mine Granite.
3. Use humidify to refill a waterskin in the desert.
4. Kill the Kalphite Queen.
5. Run a lap of the Pollnivneach rooftop course.
6. Slay a dust devil in the desert cave (wearing a slayer helmet).
7. Switch to the ancient spellbook in the Ancient Pyramid.
8. Kill a locust rider with a keris or keris partisan.
9. Burn yew logs in Nardah at the Mayor’s balcony.
10. Smith a Mithril platebody in the desert city of Nardah.

Rewards

Every time you complete a tier of any achievement diary you will be granted some rewards. For the hard Desert diary tier the rewards include:

• Desert amulet 3.
• 15,000 experience in any chosen skill that is above level 50.
• The Pharaoh’s Sceptre can now hold up to 50 charges at once.
• Magic carpet rides are now always free.
• Ability to use the shortcut in the Al-Kharid Palace with 70+ agility.
• Camulet now can teleport you inside and outside of the Enakhra’s Temple.
• Zahur will clean noted herbs for 200 gp each.
• Zahur will create unfinished potions for 100 gp each, works for noted and unnoted.
• Ropes in the kalphite lair entrance and KQ entrance will no longer disappear.

Desert Elite Diary

Requirements

Tasks to complete

1. Use the clay oven in Nardah to bake a wild pie.
2. Cast the Ice Barrage spell in the desert.
3. Fletch dragon darts at Bedabin Camp.
4. Mount a KQ head on the wall in your PoH and speak to it.
5. Steal from the golden chest in Pyramid Plunders final room.
6. Restore 85 or more prayer points from the Altar in Sophanem.

Rewards

Every time you complete a tier of any achievement diary you will be granted some rewards. For the elite Desert diary tier the rewards include:

• Desert amulet 4 (unlimited nardah and kalphite cave teleports).
• 50,000 experience in any chosen skill that is above level 70.
• Pharaoh’s Sceptre now holds up to 100 charges.
• Shantay Pass and Ruins of Unkah is free to enter and exit through.
• Ability to use the shortcut in the Kalphite lair to reach the Kalphite Queen faster.
