After completion of Dragon Slayer II, players can take a digsite pendant and use it on the Strange Machine in the vault to permanently unlock a teleport to the Vaults entrance. But, before unlocking this teleport, the best way to reach the vault is:
- Digsite pendant teleport to Fossil Island
- Use the Mushtree to Mushroom Meadow
- Run south-west and use the Rowboat to Lithkren
- Climb the stairs in the middle of the island
- Run south and climb down trapdoor, then run north and climb down the stairs
- Run north and enter the vault
