Aberrant Spectres are a level 60 slayer monster. In order to kill them efficiently players will need to have a nose peg or slayer helmet equipped. Failing to do so will result in your combat stats being drained rapidly. These monsters are known for frequently dropping herbs and seeds so a herb sack and/or seed box is recommended when killing
They will attack using magic, so protect from magic can be helpful. Although, if you do not wish to use prayer, high magical defence is then strongly recommended.
How to get to Aberrant Spectre’s in OSRS?
The Aberrant Spectre can be found in three separate locations around OSRS. These are as follows:
- 1st Floor of the Slayer Tower
- Stronghold Slayer Cave
- Catacombs of Kourend
The stronghold slayer cave is the only location at which a cannon can be used. However, for low level players, mainly ironmen, the other two locations allow safe spotting. Although, they can only be safe spotted in the Slayer Tower and Catacombs when their aggression timer has expired and using a crossbow.

Aberrant Spectre FAQs
Below is some of the most frequently asked questions by players who read this OSRS Aberrant Spectre guide for the first time.
Are aberrant spectres worth it?
For main accounts, the Aberrant Spectre tasks are generally not worthwhile. With profit of only around 3,000 gp per kill, and slow experience rates at around 20k per hour. Time can be spent more efficiently with multi-combat tasks for exp.
However, for low to mid level ironmen they could be worthwhile tasks. Due, to the vast amount of seed and herb drops.
What to pray against aberrant spectres?
Use protect from Magic to negate all damage during the task.
Can you safe spot aberrant spectres?
Yes, but only in the Slayer Tower and Catacombs locations. Also, you will need to have waited until their aggression timer has expired and be using a crossbow to stand out of their attackable range. Generally, this is not worthwhile.
