The Toxic Blowpipe is arguably one of Oldschool Runescapes best ranged weapons. It requires a minimum of level 75 ranged to use. The item attacks at a speed of 3 ticks when on rapid, so is among the fastest weapons in the game. When using this weapon there is also a 25% chance to inflict venom on your target. This scales to 100% if the serpentine helm is being worn. To obtain this weapon through PVM players must kill Zulrah until they obtain the Tanzanite Fang and then fletch it into a blowpipe with 53+ fletching.

Special Attack
Each special attack used drains 50% of your special attack energy. When used a toxic siphon will be launched from the blowpipe. This has a 100% increased accuracy and damage is increased by 50%. Additionally, the user will be healed for 50% of the damage dealt.
If the target dies from the special attack, the player will still be healed based on the number they would have hit if the target did not die. This is similar to the way the Saradomin Godsword special works.
How to charge the Blowpipe
The Toxic Blowpipe can hold up to 16,383 zulrah scales and 16,383 darts. A fully charged blowpipe can last over 8 hours of non-stop combat using the rapid style. On average 2 scales are used for every 3 darts that are fired.
To charge the blowpipe simply use the scales on the uncharged pipe, you can then add whichever dart type you want. To uncharge you can right click and uncharge on the item, this will return all of the un-used darts and scales to your inventory.
Is the Toxic Blowpipe worth it?
Yes, the toxic blowpipe should be in just about every players bank. It is an extremely cheap item to purchase, fluctuating between just 2 – 6m for the last few years. It can be used in a multi-tude of different situations and scenarios effectively. From high-level bossing, to slayer training and even used as a means of tagging multiple monsters quickly due to its super fast attack speed. Even its special attack can be useful to gain hp back passively at different pieces of content.
