Hellhound Guide FAQs
Below is some of the most frequently asked questions by players looking to kill Hellhounds for the first time.
Can you safe spot Hellhounds?
Yes, the best place to safe spot Hellhounds is in the Stronghold Slayer cave. Players can attack the hellhound with a ranged weapon from within the corridors of the cave. The hellhound will be blocked from attacking the player as they are too large to fit down the corridor.
How do you cannon hellhounds?
To cannon Hellhounds you need to be in a zone that allows the use of cannons. These locations include the Karuulm Slayer Dungeon, Stronghold Slayer Dungeon, Taverly Dungeon, Witchaven Dungeon and all Wilderness hellhound locations.
Are hellhounds worth doing?
Hellhounds are a very common task but generally not worth doing. There is no fast way to kill them such as bursting or barraging, meaning experience rates are not efficient. Additionally, they don’t really drop anything that provides consistent profit or value. For this reason many players choose to block them as a task, if they aren’t planning to go for the Cerberus pet.
