OSRS Varrock Diary Guide

The Varrock diary is a set of achievement diaries in the city of Varrock. There are four tiers of achievements they are; easy, medium, hard and elite. Each give their own unique set of rewards and each tier has a harder set of requirements to complete than the last. All of the achievement diary rewards can be claimed from Toby, who can be found in the centre of Varrock, near the water fountain and southern entrance to the castle.

Easy Varrock Diary

Requirements

Tasks to complete

1. Take a look at Thessalia’s Store.
2. Let Aubury teleport you to the essence mine.
3. Go to the mine in South-east Varrock and mine some iron ore.
4. Go to the Sawmill and make a regular plank.
5. Go to the second level in the Stronghold of Security.
6. Jump the fence shortcut south of Varrocks main entrance.
7. Chop a dying tree in the Lumber Yard north-east of Varrock.
8. Buy a newspaper.
9. Gives some bones to a stray dog.
10. Spin a bowl on the pottery wheel and place it in the oven in Barbarian Village.
11. Talk to Haig Halen when you have received at least 50 Museum Kudos.
12. Craft earth runes from essence.
13. Catch trout with Fly Fishing in the River Lum.
14. Steal tea from one of the Tea Stalls in Varrock.

Rewards

Every time you complete a tier of any achievement diary you will be granted some rewards. For the easy Varrock diary tier the rewards include:

• Varrock armour 1. Provides a 10% chance to mine 2 ores at once up to and including gold ore. Also, a 10% chance of smelting 2 bars from 2 ores up to steel, but only at the edgeville furnace.
• 2,500 experience in any chosen skill at level 30 or above.
• Zaff will sell 15 discounted battlestaves for 7,000 gp each daily.
• Skull sceptre can hold up to 14 charges.

Medium Varrock Diary

Requirements

Tasks to complete

1. Have the Apothecary make you a Strength potion.
2. Visit the Champions’ Guild.
3. Change the colour of your kitten.
4. Use the Spirit Tree in the Grand Exchange.
5. Perform all 4 of the emotes obtained from the Stronghold of Security.
6. Enter the Tolna Dungeon.
7. Use the Digsite teleport on the Digsite Pendant.
8. Cast a varrock teleportation spell.
9. Have Vannaka assign you a slayer task.
10. Make 20 mahogany planks in one go at the lumber yard.
11. Pick a white tree fruit.
12. Travel from varrock on the balloon transportation.
13. Run a full lap of the Varrock rooftop agility course.

Rewards

Every time you complete a tier of any achievement diary you will be granted some rewards. For the medium Varrock diary tier the rewards include:

• Varrock armour 2. Now provides 10% chance to mine 2 ores at once up to mithril. Also, a 10% chance to smelt 2 bars at once up to mithril in the Edgeville furnace.
• 7,500 experience in any chosen skill above level 40.
• Zaff will sell 30 discounted battlestaves for 7,000 gp each daily.
• Varrock teleport spell and tablets can now be toggled to the Grand Exchange.
• Skull sceptre holds up to 18 charges.

Hard Varrock Diary

Requirements

Tasks to complete

1. Obtain a Spottier cape from the Fancy Dress Seller and equip it.
2. Obtain 153 Museum Kudos and speak to Orlando Smith
3. Make a Waka Canoe to the east of Edgeville.
4. Cast a Paddewwa teleportation spell.
5. Use the Skull sceptre to teleport to Barbarian Village.
6. Chop yew logs in Varrock and burn them on the top floor of the Varrock Church.
7. Tell the Varrock estate agent to redecorate your PoH using the fancy stone kit.
8. Collect 2 or more yew roots from the Varrock Castle tree patch.
9. Pray at the Altar in the first floor of the Varrock Castle with smite activated.
10. Use the obstacle pipe shortcut in Edgeville Dungeon.

Rewards

Every time you complete a tier of any achievement diary you will be granted some rewards. For the hard Varrock diary tier the rewards include:

• Varrock armour 3. Now provides 10% chance to mine 2 ores at once up to adamantite. Also, a 10% chance to smelt 2 bars at once up to adamantite in the Edgeville furnace.
• 15,000 experience in any skill of your choice at level 50 or above.
• Zaff will sell 60 discounted battlestaves for 7,000 gp each daily.
• Access to the bank in the Cooking Guild.
• Skull sceptre can hold up to 22 charges.

Elite Varrock Diary

Requirements

Tasks to complete

1. Mix a super combat potion in Varrock’s west bank.
2. Use the plank make spell to make 20 mahogany planks inside the Varrock Lumber yard.
3. Cook a summer pie in the Cooking Guild.
4. Smith and fletch 10 rune darts in Varrock.
5. Craft 100 earth runes at once or more.

Rewards

Every time you complete a tier of any achievement diary you will be granted some rewards. For the elite Varrock diary tier the rewards include:

• Varrock armour 4. Now provides 10% chance to mine 2 ores at once up to Amethyst. Also, a 10% chance to smelt 2 bars from any ore in the Edgeville furnace. Finally, the varrock armour 4 will also act as an alternative to the prospector jacket, this applies for both the exp boost and master clue steps.
• 50,000 experience in any chosen skill at level 70 or higher.
• Zaff will sell 120 discounted battlestaves for 7,000 gp each daily. One of the best dailies to do in the game.
• Skull sceptre holds up to 26 charges.
